After so many wooahs! And excitement from the previous week, me and my friends have been gassing ourselves up that we’re going to pancakehub, we were always on their Instagram getting excited that we were going to eat the stuff we saw, only for us to get there and be blown away by disappointment.
I was feeling adventurous and ordered chocolate pancake, chocolate chip pancake (in my mind I was like what could go wrong with chocolate) dark syrup and a drink.
Bolu Got their breakfast meal and added meatballs and a drink while Idara got their breakfast meal with hot chocolate.
The food looked quite presentable, my friends were already telling me my food was their food.
The pancake wasn’t close to what I expected, it was dry, too dry (I expected it to be dry on the outside and a little moist inside like how pancake is but it wasn’t) I had to keep eating it with the syrup to be able to get it down my throat, once the syrup finished I stopped eating.
I feel more ingredients should be added (like more eggs, milk, sugar) to make it sweeter, I also feel the thickness should be reduced, I get that the aim was for it to be fluffy but it wasn’t achieved, the feel of it in my mouth isn’t something I want to remember, I ended up not finishing my food (I couldn’t take it anymore) neither did Bolu, Idara on the other hand finished hers not because she liked it but because the previous day she practically starved herself so she won’t exceed her calorie level (she’s dieting) only to be hit in the face with this. Idara even made a complaint and the girl there just stood looking lost, no apology whatsoever, I feel that was wrong.
The pictures are nice but I won’t say same about the food, maybe we went on a bad day maybe not but I know that I am not going back there .
I’ll give this a one star majorly because the food looked presentable and picture worthy, looks can definitely be deceiving.
