Danfo

Ejo e wole pelu changi 😂 (please enter with your change).
Hey guys!!!!! I’m so excited and I don’t know why, and before you start asking, no I didn’t go to an actual bus to eat, i went to a danfo themed restaurant, Danfo bistro and dives ( for those of you that don’t know, a danfo is a typical yellow and black public transport bus roaming about the streets of Lagos recklessly 😂)
Back to danfo, first off it’s located at 2, Alexander drive ikoyi. It’s a danfo themed restaurant to the last bit, when I say last bit I mean even their toilets are in on the theme, the restaurant has crates (both wooden crates and drink crates)with cushions as seats even tire rims 😁, it also has an actual bus divided as the bar (I wish I had a picture to describe this ) the theme is very pleasing aesthetically.

Now to the good stuff, the food!, their food I must say is a bit pricey for the quantity of food you’re getting, I mean bread and beans with plantains is 2500 without a drink or anything 😤 (I didn’t order that, I would have cried😂😭)
I had their “meet the French” sandwich
It’s a mix of your choice of bread ( agege bread or ciabatta bread) with roast beef, and cheese, it’s accompanied with fries and gravy sauce.

Their staff recommended the ciabatta bread to me (ciabatta bread is an Italian white bread made from wheat flour, water, olive oil, salt and yeast), which I had and I must say I liked it😁.
The sandwich was nice, the mix of the bread with the cheese (from the picture you can tell it was extremely cheesy 🤤) and the beef was amazing.
I had to use a knife to divide it, because it felt too big to put in my mouth as a whole (note:it you aren’t down to eat messy in public this isn’t for you 😂) the fries, the fries was okay, the salt was at the right point, I had it alone and at a point with the bbq sauce off idara’s chicken and it was amazing.

The fries wasn’t so much and I didn’t understand the dark spots on it, but asides that it was amazing.

My friend, idara had their grilled chicken and jollof rice(you can choose the size of chicken you want as well as bbq or chill) she had the bbq chicken and I must say it tasted as nice as it looked.

Her jollof rice came with dodo mixed in it, I didn’t like her jollof rice, it tasted like bland rice and stew mixed together, I’m guessing this was because it was cold because bolu’s rice was much better.

Bolu had their jollof rice with suya skewers, her food was nice when it eventually came (her food was delayed by 45 mins, my food and idara’s food had come and we finished it, even took pictures before bolu’s food finally came) apparently there was some mix up of some sort and the staff kept apologizing and to make it up to her she got a shot of tequila on the house ❤️

Her suya skewers came with yagi pepper (yagi is an Hausa pepper usually accompanied with suya) tomato’s and a slice of bread (btw putting the suya in between the bread is really nice), it was well done and really delicious 😋

I’ll give them a 3 star ⭐️ rating, it would have been a 4 if not for their food pricing and quantity.
If you’re ever thinking of going sometime here’s their menu.
